TABNAK, Oct, 01: “Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was one of the most influential personalities in the Islamic and Arab Ummah. He had an important role in leading the Islamic project, especially in its Arab part. Despite losing this great icon, the resistance will not be weakened, but it will continue its path more strongly and decisively,” he said.
He then referred to Zionist regime’s crimes and genocide in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, saying that, “The resistance’s will is still stronger than any plot and aggressions (of Zionist regime) will fail to stop Lebanon and resistance from its path.”
Abu Sharif further continued that the US is the main sponsor and supporter of Zionist regime in all of its crimes ongoing in the region.
“What happened in Lebanon was under the American-Zionist joint strategy to destabilize the region and weaken the axis of resistance.”
Nasrallah was martyred in the Israeli massive air strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday night.
In response, the Hezbollah resistance movement has fired ballistic missiles at sensitive sites inside the occupied territories in Israel.
The assassination of the Hezbollah leader is expected to push the region toward new developments. The unprecedented Israeli air raids on southern Beirut on Friday night leveled four building blocks.
Releasing a statement, Hezbollah described Nasrallah as a "brave, faithful, and insightful leader" who joined the martyrs.
Born in 1960 in Beirut, Nasrallah was elected the secretary general of Hezbollah in February 1992 after the assassination of Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi.
He was the third secretary general of Hezbollah which was established in 1982. Nasrallah was one of the founders of the liberation movement.
The Hezbollah movement turned into a regional power under his leadership that succeeded in driving out Israel from southern Lebanon in 2000.
